Hi, I am Cindy 翊欣! I grew up in Miaoli, a quiet town in Taiwan—one of those places where the fields stretch wide and the mountains feel close. I'm a Hakka girl who grew up between rice paddies and winding backroads, learning early on the rhythm of care, family, and quiet strength.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a preschool teacher, working with children and families. That experience changed me. I witnessed how early relationships shape our sense of safety and belonging. I also saw how healing begins in the smallest moments—when someone feels heard, when conflict turns into understanding, when connection is restored.
Like many first-generation immigrants, I’ve lived between cultures, languages, and expectations. That in-between space—sometimes confusing, sometimes beautiful—shaped the way I listen, the way I connect, and the way I hold space for others.
❤️ I’ve Been There Too
I really get it.
I’ve gone through my own journey of darkness, disconnection, and quiet survival.
I know what it’s like to carry pain that’s hard to name, to question your worth, to long for something different but not know where to start.
That’s why supporting you is never just a job to me.
It’s an honor.
It’s sacred work.
And I’m grateful to walk alongside you.
My Approach
My work is rooted in the belief that healing happens in connection—with ourselves, with each other, and with the parts of us that have been carrying pain for far too long.
I come to this work from both Eastern and Western traditions. My cultural roots in Buddhism and Taoism shape how I view healing—not as fixing, but as returning to balance, presence, and inner clarity. I integrate those philosophies with Western frameworks like mindfulness, relational therapy, and trauma-informed care, creating a space that honors both stillness and movement, reflection and action.
I integrate Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support people in untangling patterns that no longer serve them and reclaiming their sense of clarity, worth, and inner leadership.
Whether you're navigating inner conflict, relational tension, or past trauma that still echoes in the present—my goal is to hold space for your truth, at your pace, and in a way that’s attuned to both your nervous system and your cultural story.

Outside the therapy room, I create short-form mental health content in both English and Chinese to help bridge the gap between Western psychology and Chinese-speaking communities.
Mental health stigma can run deep—especially in families and cultures where emotional struggles are seen as weakness. I create videos that are simple, relatable, and sometimes even funny, because I believe education should be accessible, and healing doesn’t have to be so serious all the time.
I also get to share the research I’ve poured my heart into—each study rooted in years of reflection, collaboration, and care. Taking those complex, meaningful findings and turning them into bite-sized, real-life content is one of my favorite parts of what I do. It means the knowledge doesn’t stay stuck in academic journals—it reaches people who truly need it.
If my content has helped even one person feel a little less alone, a little more understood—I’ve done what I came to do.
If something in you feels ready to begin, I’d love to hear from you.
